Upload rejected: Date out of valid range
Every daily entry has to sit inside the seven-day payroll week that ends on your week ending date. A day outside that window fails, and so does a day in the wrong format.
Check these three
What actually causes it.
A day outside the week. Catch-up entries are the usual culprit — hours from a previous week appended to the current file. Those belong in their own file, for their own week.
More than seven days. Each classification carries at most seven daily entries. Two weeks of hours in one work week block will fail.
The wrong date format. Daily dates are plain YYYY-MM-DD. The week ending date is different — it needs a full timestamp, YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.000Z, and the milliseconds and trailing Z are both required. A US-style date, or a date with a timezone offset, will not do.
Worth knowing
You still file in weeks with no work.
Submissions are required at least every thirty days per project for the life of the project, including periods when nobody was on site. Skipping quiet weeks is a common way to fall behind without noticing.
