Priced on active projects, because that is the work.
The portal takes one file per project per week. Twelve active jobs means twelve XML files every week, including the quiet ones. So the fee follows the number of projects you are carrying — nothing else.

6 to 20 active projects. Twenty jobs is twenty files a week — about $3.50 a file.

21 or more. No ceiling above this. Seventy projects costs the same as twenty-one.
It is not finished, so right now it is free. We build your files by hand while the tool is being completed — no charge, no card, no contract. When it ships you get the first month free on top of that, and we tell you the price before anything changes.
Month to month after that. Cancel with 30 days' notice. If your project count moves you into a different band we tell you in writing first — we do not re-tier you quietly.

Our automation work — quote follow-up, invoice chasing, scheduling reminders — is a one-time setup plus a flat monthly fee. It depends on how much you want automated, so we quote it, usually on the first call.

Why is certified payroll priced on projects and not employees?
Because the state files it that way. NYSDOL accepts one project per file and one week per file, so a hundred employees on one job is one file, while six employees spread over six jobs is six files. The work follows projects, so the price does too.
What if I have far more than twenty-one projects?
Nothing changes. $499 is the top of the table and there is no ceiling above it — a contractor carrying seventy active jobs pays the same as one carrying twenty-one, which works out at well under two dollars a file. We would rather publish a straightforward number than run a negotiation.
What counts as an active project?
Any prevailing wage job you are still filing for. Note that includes weeks where nobody set foot on site — NYSDOL still wants a filing at least every 30 days for the life of the project, and those quiet files count as work.
Is there a setup fee for certified payroll?
No. There is a short intake form so we know your projects, your PRC numbers and which work type each job is, and after that it is the monthly fee only.
Why should I believe the price will not move?
You should not have to believe anything — it is month to month with 30 days' notice, so if we change it you leave. That is the only guarantee worth offering and it is the one we can actually keep.
Can I cancel?
Any time, with 30 days' notice. There is no contract and no early-termination fee. We would rather earn it every month.
